This interesting little panbrake was designed several years ago & because of its configuration allows the forming of closed sheet metal products (unlike the conventional panbrake or pressbrake), utilising mainly simple angle iron off cuts, or in some cases, easily made tooling.
It also has the ability to form radius corners from 3mm up to 12.5mm of any length (up to 650mm) with quickly made tooling.
This one is simple to build & as with our other plans from machineryplans.com, these are full working drawings easily understood with every part drawn separately & in most cases redrawn again as an assembly for ultimate understanding. Along with the plans, eighteen pages of comprehensive instructions & over 20 photos of components & various panbrake views are supplied.
650mm X 1mm mild steel sheet.
1.2mm up to 300mm wide
1.6mm up to 100mm wide
3mm up to 40mm wide
With most of the common grades of aluminium greater thicknesses may be folded.
Thicker material (up to 1.6mm) at longer lengths may be folded with the radius formers.
Pans may be produced up to 75mm in height.
